Lash Lift and Brow Lamination

What is a Brow Lamination?

brow lamination, woman, brows, sleek brows, beauty, healthy
Brow Lamination is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a special solution to shape and set eyebrow hairs in place. The process works by applying a chemical lotion to the brows, which helps to relax the hair follicles and make them more pliable. The brow hairs are then brushed upwards and set in place using a neutralizer, giving the eyebrows a fuller, more defined look. Brow lamination is a popular alternative to microblading and other semi-permanent eyebrow treatments, as it is non-invasive and typically lasts for 6-8 weeks. It is suitable for individuals who have unruly or sparse eyebrows and desire a more polished, groomed appearance.
As part of your Brow Lamination aftercare:
  • Avoid water for the first 24h.
  • Do not have any treatments done around eyebrow area for at least 24h.
  • Avoid the temptation of over touching the area.
  • Avoid swimming and saunas for 24h.
  • Use brow oil/conditioner daily or every other day (Lami Lashes has wide selection of those).
  • Brush brows into the place daily.

We also recommend that you follow these guidelines in the run up to and the days after your Brow Lamination treatment:
• Avoid using exfoliating (be it AHA, BHA or scrubs) and anti-ageing skincare around the brow area for three days either side of your treatment
• Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolor the eyebrow tint (unless you’re after khaki colored brows)
• Your stylist will apply some make up at the end of your treatment, however you should avoid applying any further heavy make up (foundations, etc.) on the area around the brow for 24h

How to keep brows in shape after brow lamination?
Brow lamination does not permanently set your hairs in your desired, brushed up position. It breaks down the bonds in your hair so that you can easily manipulate them into the look you want. All you’ll need to do is brush them back into place with a spoolie brush in the morning to get them back to that fluffy finish – no product required. These results will last for 6-8 weeks. To really enhance laminated brows and maintain that freshly laminated look right up to your next appointment, our LAMI LASHES BROWISTA STYLING PASTE is a must have. It moisturizes; nourishes; fixes hairs. The gel makes the effect of light styling, to the effect of lamination of the eyebrows.

What do you put on eyebrows after lamination?
It is strongly recommended that you apply a conditioning serum twice daily after brow lamination to maintain healthy, hydrated eyebrow hairs. You wouldn’t undergo a chemical treatment on your hair without conditioning and caring for it, and your brows should be no different. The LAMI LASHES LASH & BROW KERATIN MASCARA is a clear gel primer that is formulated with keratin proteins and peptides that nourish, strengthen and protect the lashes and brows. The keratin restores the missing protein in the hair, providing you with thicker, fuller, lashes and brows. It is ideal as it not only strengthens and conditions the hairs, but also prolongs the wear of your eyebrow tint. You can also use the ENERGY ELIXIR FOR LASHES AND BROWS as an intensive overnight treatment to keep brows in tip top conditioner. Lami Energy Elixir is infused with powerful ingredients like jojoba oil, hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E&C and proteins it promotes growth and strength in lashes and brows. (think of it as a hair mask for your brows).
Brow lamination benefits
Eyebrow lamination may help address a variety of concerns you may have with your own brows, including:
  • thinning hair that may occur with age
  • gaps in your brows from overplucking or overwaxing in the past
  • unruly hairs that tend to go different directions despite brushing them
  • a lack of shape or unevenness Overall, brow lamination is said to make brows look thicker and fuller. Pulling the hairs up vertically may also make it look like you are experiencing new growth.
